Spring has sprung

Post by Alan H on Mon Mar 07, 2011 6:55 pm

Managed to get in the garden at last.
Made a 'take apart' shit pile holder togetherer out of timber and ally 'angle iron' so that it will be easy to empty later.
That's the current plan, I expect the farquar will all be swelled up and jammed when it needs to come apart. Mad

Going up to Loch Awe near Oban next Sunday for a few (cheapie) days, so gonna start in the GH after that. It might even be warm(er) then.
Buds on the pear trees ready to pop, the apples trees still asleep and the plum tree I planted last autumn looks well forked.

Palmate newts in the bottom pond alive 'cos I saw a couple swimming about.

Be nice to get some longer days to dry things out a bit. Could do with it being a bit warmer too.

My apple trees are well awake as are the goosegogs and blackcurrant!

Bleeding birds keep eating all the leaves on mine. Not had a gog off the thing yet!
