Harley's From Across the Pond

Post by chengdave2003 on Sun Sep 18, 2011 4:58 pm

Hey All,

I'm retired military (U. S. Coast Guard) and I live in Northern New York. I've got two Harley's, one is a 87 FXR (Evo) that is kinda sorta not really for sale, the other a 83 FXSB (dual factory belt Lowrider with a shovelhead engine). I've got a small machine shop in my garage that I make parts, mostly carb parts for Harley's (as that's what I've got to prototype on - I'll make parts for any bike given the dimensions, etc.).

1987 FXR

1983 FXSB

what's the nicest thing about that workshop, not the space, the weather, the tools (ooh, the tools) nope, none of that, look at the windows, they're open, and NOT covered with bars to keep some pikey scum out, oh joy.

I live out in the middle of dairy country....nothing but the forest around us (we have 12.5 acres with the the house in the middle), then nothing but farmland. We're quite secluded....

Thank you for the compliment!
