What is this switch from ?
What is this switch from ?
My neighbour has a 1979 500 Sanglas and he wondered what the switch was from, anyone know? (note the Capital letter followed by the small case letter on "Hi" and "Lo" if that is a hint.)
Same question for the rear shocks? (note the "cooling fins!!!" at the bottom)
Check the reg no Al, "GT A", nice if you have a 1976 Suzuki ??

Honda or Yam.
That is one well fucked about with Sanglas. I have wanted one of them for about 30 years! Is it a runner?

Mind you, it isnt very original now and would cost more than the bike is worth to make it so.

Bit of history, when Sanglas went bust first time round, Yam bought them out and they were selling XS400's under the Sanglas name and they reduced the 500 to a 400 single!

Re: What is this switch from ?
That looks totally home made! I like that lots.
Bet it sounds well with a big single going through a reverse cone megger.
Switches? Dunno, Dungy. They look familiar - probably a theme on a theme early Jap switch. Can't remember what the switches were like on my first Suzy, the light switch was on the ignition (direct lighting) and it only had a dip/main horn on one side.
GTA 550 would look nice on one of the bikes in my garage!

It is a runner, it runs like a swiss watch, it has a little bit of a oil leak, i've seen worse, but that's about it.

They are a bloody nice bike. For that switch look at the smaller Jap bikes, 125's and the like.
