However you want to spell it!
I got in yesterday for a time and ended up getting a load of apples off one of the trees. Plenty still to go and plenty on the floor! Lovely crisp eaters, it's blowing a barsteward this morning, so I expect all the rest will be on the deck now. Suspect
Might resurrect the press & make some apple juice/cider. I got rid of the still after the last lot of 'stuff' I distilled made me fall over and gave me a bad headache. drunken bom

Anyway, still some carrots & celery to dig up then it's all done. Greenhouse nearly empty, just some beetroot left, but I reckon it's too cold to do any good now. Neutral
The electrics are nearly in, just need the last connection doing (cable 'just' doesn't reach as I had to slightly change the route - bugger.) Mad
Every job takes five times as long as planned, plus we keep having to go to family birthdays - my sisters and Lynns Mum this week, that slowed last weekends progress down somewhat. Wink

We are not allowed to put wind falls into the composting wheely bin bastard thing.

So I have to hide them under all the pizza boxes.

Aye, yer probably right but I'm too lazy these days. Rolling Eyes

After scattering bird seed over my borders in't summer, I was surprised to see that a couple of Sunflower seeds had germinated and grown into quite substantial, pretty plants - although they never quite reached the 'seeding' stage before dying back - so I plan to sow them over my borders much earlier next year and the wee birdies can feed from them before winter, plus they'll look much nicer than the thistles, docks and assorted weeds eh! Very Happy

Could be Scottish Poopies.
I know a poem about that.

Oh what a sleekit horrible beastie
Lurks in yer belly efter the feastie
Just as ye sit doon among yer kin
There sterts to stir an enormous wind.

The neeps and tatties and mushy peas
Stert workin like a gentle breeze
But soon the puddin wi the sauncie face
Will have ye blawin’ all ower the place.

Nae matter whit the hell ye dae
A’bodys gonnae have tae pay
Even if ye try to stifle,
It’s like a shell frae oot a rifle.

Hawd yer bum tight tae the chair
Tae try and stop the leakin air
Shift yersel frae cheek tae cheek
Prae tae God it doesnae reek.

But aw yer efforts go assunder
Oot it comes like a clap a thunder
Ricochets aroon the room
Michty me, a cannon boom!

God almighty it fairly reeks;
Hope I huvnae crapped ma breeks
Tae the bog I better scurry
Aw whit the hell, its no ma worry.

A’body roon aboot me chokin,
Wan or two are nearly bokin
I’ll feel better frae a while
Cannae help but raise a smile.

Wis him! I shout with accusin glower,
Alas too late, he’s just keeled ower
Ye dirty"coont they shout and stare
I dinnae feel welcome any mair.

Where ere ye go let yer wind gan free
Sounds like just the job fur me
Whit a fuss at Rabbie's perty
Ower the sake o won wee ferty.

I may have posted this before, but I like it so there.
