Clothes for riding
Now I have always believed in leather, but these days a lot of jackets and trousers are
non leather with 'CE approved' protection.
Hopefully going to look at a bike this weekend (Honda Transalp) and was wondering what
the consensus is nowadays. I can imagine a 1 piece leather suit might not be that comfortable
on that type of bike, the cut would be more sport bike orientated. I may be wrong, it's been a
while after all. I'll be looking for jacket, trousers, gloves, boots.
Any particular makes to stay away from, any makes that are most preferred?
Obviously I'm not intending to fall off, but...

You can get jeans with Armour built in.
Personally I prefer Dainese for clothes or Hein Gericke, Showa for lids, always, always try before you buy as sizing varies a hell of a lot. Some people have a Arai shaped head, others a Shoei.
Dont be tempted to ride in trainers and get decent gloves. Fit heated grips to the bike, a must, no,really, they are.
I was very lucky and won a pair a pair of Corbin Boots the other day for £10 on the bay.

What did you end up with Quent?
I was reading an article on mesh and fabric jackets the other day that sounded ok.

Didn't realise at the time but the colours sort of match the bike.
