Spark plugs
My knowledge of why and how to do with engines is limited, but just wondering, after changing them at
the weekend. Why 2 spark plugs per cylinder? Honda XL600V.
I am also very glad the original tool roll was still in its place, as this contained a sparkplug tool.
Impossible without, plus having to dismantle half the bike...

High performance engines like 2 plugs per cylinder and 4 valves!

Re: Spark plugs
Fashion for the plugs.
Valves let more stuff in and then more stuff out when revving hard.

Re: Spark plugs
I disagree re fashion for the plugs. Twin plugs give a much better burn for the mixture and promote a even temp in the combustion chamber. 4 Valves allow the engine to rev higher as the individual valves are lighter and take a ot less force to open and close, so you can use a quick rise ramp on the cams.
