Yepp, I think it also has to do with the available space. Those big BMWs wouldn't look half as cool with just a topbox and a daysack... hahaha. It takes a lot of discipline to pack light. Teapot One hasn't got any panniers and is travelling around the world on a sportsbike. I was so impressed with how little kit he had :-) Maybe shoult be a lesson on how to not pack. Hahaha
