Hello, I need a reliable 125 suitable for a daily 40 mile round trip, mainly dual carriageway. Is the Honda suitable or if not what else? Ta muchly, love and man hugs, Garth.

I would have gone for more cc's. A 500 would be better. Are you "stuck" with 125? *

Having said that the Honda is arguably the best bike in the world! A gazzion of them sold and they go on forever.

(* having said that. I did by a 30 year old Enfield for a similar 50 mile a day commute!)

How big are you Garth? if you are larger than the average bear, then get a Honda and not one of the Chinese copies.
If you are of normal size, then the Chinky ones are OK and a lot cheaper.

Stuart the piercer had one of them ting tong things Bill, trust me, if that thing was anything to go by, avoid 'em like the plague, EVERYTHING was so cheap and poorly made bits either didn't work, or just fell off, it was held together by zip ties and gaffer tape, tread cautiously Garth.

Its for my youngest son Bill, he's 5'10 and 18 stone, he's a provisional licence holder and skint so I'm financing it.
Thanks Dungy, everything Chink made that I have bought has rapidly fallen apart.

I had a Chink one, it was OK, just not as powerful, and when you are dealing with 12hp you need every one you can get. 18 stone, needs a Honda.

If the budget can stretch to it, given the size/weight maybe go for a traillie style.
