Dungy, Steve Wallace had an RG500 and I had it in my shed for a few months after it got nicked and smashed up, I put it back together for him and took it out for a "Test ride" frightened the fucking life out me.

That would have been about 1988 or 89. We didn't see a lot of you about that time, I was living in Kenley at the time and Steve didn't have the RG for very long as he only had it 3 weeks when it got stolen (it was recovered the following day, having been stolen by 2, 15 year olds who crashed it into a van at low speed and got nabed by the van driver when they tried to leg it) then it spent 3 months in my shed, then he sold it, it was a blue/white one very pretty it was too

About that time a lad where I worked got one and pranged it after a week. He got another and that lasted a fortnight before he hit something hard. I gave him a megger bollocking as he'd said that I could have a go when he'd run one in. I don't think he ever got that far. Twat.
He should have stuck to a 125 or even a Honda Wank (C50) at best.

The RG's did seem to provoke excessive use of the throttle, the adrenalin rush was incredible and addictive, it's no wonder so many of them got binned
