A mate of mine was telling me about free 'taster sessions' designed for people who've never ridden a bike before - I have, but not for 25 years so I phoned up and blagged a go - zero cost for an hour and a half on a bike.

What I did learn was;

A, You don't forget - it's like 'riding a bike'

B, 125s are a lot smaller than they used to me ...

It was a laugh - there was only two us, the other guy was in his 20s and had never sat on a bike before and then who used to ride a lot but not for the past quarter of a century.

The other guy was trying to pull away without stalling it and the instructor asked me to do a loop to get the feel of it.

We then did the cones and figure of 8 and I was then asked to demonstrate changing up and down to the newbie.

After 15 mins the instructor asked me if I wanted to go and play in the main car park on a 500 whilst he carried on with the other guy.

So I spent an hour on a Kwacker 500 in Makro's car park.
