Thinking about it the SS50 and the S65 had a high level pipe. Dunno what other differences there are - other than cylinder capacity and a seeming ability to froghten ladies out of their crackers.

The SS50 had pedals to comply with moped law.

Pre unit trumpet 500? And a very nice wobbly engined Commando. I used to love to see 'em tick over!!

I think it is a 500. If you over tighten the Isolastics and have the bike ticking over on the main stand, they move backwards.

OOh, a wasp combo. With what could be an Earles front end. Spiffing!!!
And that T500R is very nice, bigger brake than the 550 4LS, is it an old Fontana? Strange cable linkages though with extra pull on the reversed primary cam actuator instead of the 'normal' one. You all noticed that didn't you? ha! Didja bollix!
Big steering damper with a too long bolt and no front or rear splashguards. Needs TLC, send it here.
NOW!!!
Who designed the front number plate, Gene fucking Pitney?

The Lito engines were a very tidy design, sort of like a cross between BSA singles and Matchless

Feckin useless they were. I had a SS50 when I was a lad - tried using the pedals once for a laugh racing a mate on his SS50
I ended up buying one by accident - I managed to get my Dad down to the local dealers when I was 16 to buy a second hand FS1E but they didn't have any in stock so I bought a second hand SS50 as I knew I'd not convince him to go back another time.
