Guitar man Empty Guitar man

Post by caveman Sun Apr 08, 2012 6:50 am

That'll be me next week when my 'starter' guitar kit arrives next week. Laughing

The harp is brill and I love learning how to do those lovely bluesy sounds, bending notes etc, but it's so fucking loud I have to practice in the bathroom or outside - both very cold in wintertime, brrr.

So, I've decided to have a wee bash at a leccy guitar with headphones, quiet enough not to disturb Anne when she's sleeping but loud enough to give me a bit of pleasure over the long winter months whilst learning a couple of riffs - that'll do me.

Another of my 'things to do before I snuff it' in the bag. Razz Razz Razz

Good guess!!! But wrong Cheesy. Laughing

Nah, I broke my left wrist many years ago and since I stopped gardening full time it's started seizing up a tad - so, I thought the guitar might help to loosen it up some.

It aint that bad Cheese, with regular easy excercise you can keep the joints supple and moving. Just dont sit down and stop.

Exercise is definitely the answer - even wanking Al, but as it's my left wrist that's mashed and I'm right-handed - I thought guitar playing would loosen my left hand up a tad more. Cool

Anyway, got the bugger on Wednesday and been fiddling with it since (no silly comments you wankers). Left hand finger tips are mega sore, also left fingers, wrist, forearm, shoulder - fuck I thought I was reasonably fit...Bugger. No

BUT! It's fucking brilliant fun and I just know my fingers and wrist will loosen
up before I snuff it....That'll do me. Razz

Bill, I've got calluses on my willy maybe I should use that instead? Laughing "That guitar player's a right fucking knob!" I hope you cunts noticed what I did there?

Seriously though, I know all about calluses being in the manual labour game for most of my working life - I remember watching my manly hands lose a 1/4 inch of callus and turn into girly hands within a month or two after giving up work to look after Anne.

She mostly loved my rough horny skinned hands but occasionally she'd be pissed off because they ripped her more 'delicate' items of clothing....chortle... Twisted Evil

Anyway, I digressed there for a wank. So I need horny finger tips? Bugger, that usually means lots of hard work and some pain ahead - arse. Laughing

I think you've played drums with too many chicken drumsticks Al!

Seriously though, wooden drumsticks are very noisy no matter what material you bang them on (oo'er) aren't they?
