Back to me again, well it is my thread... ok cunts!

Had a cracking friday night with oor lad SSOHA (aka Sun Shines Out His Arse). We wuz jammin' for 5 hours solid (not soft), it was mostly shite playing as I was showing him how to play what I'd learned up to now.

Now I know I'm really shite at playing but when I played the first few notes from Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here' solo on the acoustic guitar I could see his eyes open wide and his jaw drop - "can you show me how to do that?" he says. Never felt so fucking smug in my life. Cool

Fortunately I've got 3 guitars, one acoustic and two leccy's all cheapos but fitted with decent strings and well tuned, so after five hours constant playing he'd surpassed me and played it better than me (bastard! I hate young clever bastards). Laughing

The best guitar I've got is a mint second-hand Yamaha Pacifica 112 (which I was keeping for special occasions when/if I got better, guess which one he fell in love with - yep. It's now his next birthday prezzie... Crying or Very sad Kids eh? Very Happy

I'd been switching between acoustic and leccy when playing due to my fucked left hand and by the end of the 5 hour session my fingers were just a wee bit sore, my lad's though were shredded - snigger. Also, I managed to play the end solo of Nirvana's version of Man Who Sold the World on acoustic, I think he hated me at that point.

Proof that old guys can still rock afore we snuff it! lol!

Well done Ray. Now play the harp at the same time and get yourself onto a street corner.

Bill, I'd be as well sticking the harp between my arse cheeks and farting into it for all the music I got out of the fucking thing! Who ever said learning the harmonica is easy deserves to have one shoved down his jap's eye...sideways. Rolling Eyes

Ouch! Even the thought of that is bringing a tear to my eyes. (yep, high and low) affraid

If it's an Isla malt, I'm on my way. A pint of Isla will do me. You prefer tea anyway - have you supped that what I fetched yet or was it too strong?

Yorkshire tea too fucking strong? Rather mild and a lovely gentle flavour.

Not surprising really, compared to the tea leaf dregs we used to scrape out the sink after every bloke had pished in it for the day. Laughing
